How did your Vibrant Soul lose their life?
She was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.
 
Now tell us about the simple things that brought your Vibrant Soul joy:
Carmella (her dog). She loved spending time with her 3 nieces and 2 nephews. She loved hearing stories about other kids in life, Molly, Sam, kids of her good friends Joni.
 
Was there a particular book that they enjoyed or made a difference in their life?
She loved the book "Cruddy" a novel by Lynda Barry, even though it is kind of dark but had an up beat side. She also loved the book "Life of Pi" by Yann Martel and "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time" by Mark Haddon.
 
Was there a certain song or singer that especially moved them?
"Out of the Mountains" written by her dear friend Vernon Bush. She requested that he sing it to her when he would visit her during her illness. It made her very happy. She also loved "Total Priase" by Richard Smallwood. It's the song that the Glide Pastorial Care Choir would sing to her when they visited during her illness.
 
Was there a specific musical instrument or type of music that they responded to more so than others?
The sound of her friends singing! She would always convince her friends to sing even when they thought they sounded terrible. She was a champion for people to express themselves fully. She wasn't concerned that it meant pushing them!
 
Did they have a favorite play, movie/film?
She loved "Canhead" by her Oscar-nominated husband, Tim Hittle. She also loved "Dancer in the Dark" starring Bjork.
 
Was there a particular poem or poet they enjoyed reading or listening to as it was read?
She loved quotes from the book "the Prophet" by Kahill Gibran. She used words by him all through her wedding ceremony.
 
What was their favorite place they would go to or visit?
The Marin Headlands to ride her horse "Normad". She loved the horse. Also, Harbin Hot Springs, hanging out in the bath house with her best friend Marion.
 
Did they have a favorite food, snack or meal that they preferred?
She was a vegan and loved Vegan Cake at Herbviore. German Chocolate cake was the runner up. she also loved her own vegan cooking.
 
What sport or game (including board games or playing cards) did they particularly like to play?
She enjoyed skiiing, snowboarding, kyacking & rollerblading.
 
Did they have a hobby, pasttime or collection?
She loved horseback riding, croqueting, yoga, cooking, baking and reading books. She also hasa tea cup collection.
 
What flower or plant did they enjoy receiving or having in their home or office?
Orchids were her favorite, but she loved any loved all beautiful flowers.
 
What artist, painting or sculptor did they take a special interest in?
Her husband, Tim Hittle. He is an incredible artist and painter. She was very proud of what he could do artistically.
 
Is there another simple joy that they had that you would like to share with us?
She loved taking long walks on the beach (she lived a few blocks from the water) and did so until she couldn't do it any more. She liked to flirt with the waiters when dining out with girlfriends (it was innocent fun...she was loved her husband deeply) she would love to have fun with the girls! She took joy in watching children she knew grow up. She also loved giving, encouraging and inspiring kids to be everything they could be and to explore all of their talents especially in film.
 
Now please share with us your Vibrant Soul's goals, dreams and aspirations. For instance, did they want to learn to play an instrument, write poetry or a book? Did they have a secret dream to climb a mountain, to teach children their passion, to water ski or learn to paint? Did they want to start their own business, further their education, or introduce two friends they felt belonged together?
She wanted with a passion to finish her incredible film called Gumby Dharma. It was about one of her heros in film, Art Clokey, grandfather of clay animation and the creator of Gumby. www.gumbydharma.com.
 
What particular goal was your Vibrant Soul working on or intending to accomplish?
She finished her film before she passed on. She also bought a lovely house with her husband and truly made it into a home (paradise).
 
What did your Vibrant Soul especially dream about being, doing or seeing happen?
She wanted to create and work on a project with her husband, Tim Hittle. She wanted to have love and a working relationship with Tim and she accomplished that with her film. She also wanted to see her mom and brother fully in recovery. She wanted to see her nieces and nephews grow up.
 
What did your Vibrant Soul aspire to be, do or have in their life?
She wanted to be a film maker. She wanted to be a screenwriter and was working on a screenplay called "Life in D". She wanted to have lots of kids.
