lose their life?
My Granny lost her life to Colon
Cancer.
Now tell us about the simple
things that brought your Vibrant Soul joy:
My granny was a very simple person.
She was not materialistic and only
the simple things brought her joy.
Phone calls, letters, visitors... She
loved children and talking about the
Lord. She was a very devoted person
to the Lord.
Was there a particular book
that they enjoyed or made a difference in their life?
She read the BIble faithfully. It
definitly changed and enhanced her
life.
Was there a certain song
or singer that especially moved them?
My granny loved Tina Turner!!
Was there a specific musical
instrument or type of music that they responded to more so than
others?
She had a organ in her dining room.
When I was little she would play
soongs and the organ and I would sing
my heart out.
Did they have a favorite
play, movie/film?
She didnt watch movies to often. The
only time I remember us going to th
emovies was to see GLORY back in the
early nineties.
Was there a particular poem
or poet they enjoyed reading or listening to as it was read?
She enjoyed reading the Psalms of
David.
My grandmother lived in the south and
was very southern. She probably, and
I reiterate probably enjoyed going to
the mall. Like I said she was a very
simple woman.
My Granny loved Fried Chicken, Mashed
Potatoes and green peas!!! A southern
delite and she cooked that sooooo
wellll.
Did they have a favorite
food, snack or meal that they preferred?
Oh never any of this!
What sport or game (including
board games or playing cards) did they particularly like to play?
My grandma collected collectable items
of any sort. But it was usually one of
everything...1 coin...1 stamo...1

Did they have a hobby, pasttime
or collection?
I sent my granny some sunflowers a few
times, but I think my granny loves to
just receive things period.
What flower or plant did
they enjoy receiving or having in their home or office?

What artist, painting or
sculptor did they take a special interest in?
My granny just liked to spend time
with people. You didnt have to say a
word. It was the company that she
cared about. My granny loved working
with the children in the church
putting on plays and organizing the
choir. EVeryone loved my grandma, she
was never mean to anyone. She would
bring in host students from Europe to
stay at her house, just so they can
have a chance to make a better life
for themselves. She wanted to help
make a better life for everyone.
Is there another simple
joy that they had that you would like to share with us?
My grandmother did everything that she
wanted and planned to do. When her
final days where near, she had her
funeral, memorial and obituary
already planned and prepared. She
left with no regrets and she knew she
was going to a much better place.

did they want to learn to play an instrument, write poetry or a
book? Did they have a secret dream to climb a mountain, to teach
children their passion, to water ski or learn to paint? Did they
want to start their own business, further their education, or introduce
two friends they felt belonged together?
She worked on and accomplished raising
money for the bell tower at her
church. It took her years to raise
$100,000 from a church with a
congregation of 40 people. But she
was able to see it completed before
she passed. So now she has a landmark
thats stands in her rememberance.

especially dream about being, doing or seeing happen?
She wanted her youngest grandson to be
saved and for all her grandkids to be
successful through Christ.

aspire to be, do or have in their life?
She just wanted to please God and
fulfill his purpose.
